Project Management

By using the Desktop Studio it is possible to:

It is also possible to 'Export' a project for deployment purposes:


To create a new Project, select the command 'File\New Project' in the Menu bar.

The following dialog is displayed:

You need to enter:

  • The Project name (1),
  • The Project template (2) used to initialize the Project files :
    • Choose Project language V2 to create an XML Project (V2),
    • Choose Project language V3 to create a Javascript Project (V3),
  • The Project free title (3).

You can also set:

  • The Client name, the Project initial version and date (displayed in the 'About' box),
  • The Project comments.

The final step is to choose the directory where the new Project (5) will be created:

  • If necessary, this directory will be automatically created,
  • A subfolder will be created at this location. It contains the project files.

To validate Project creation, click on the Ok button.
The Project structure is automatically created at the indicated location (see Structure of a Project).


There are various ways to open an existing Project (file with a '.pscp' extension) :

From the Windows Explorer:

  • Double-click on the Project file. A new instance of Desktop Studio is launched and the project is automatically loaded.

From an open instance of the Studio:

  • 'Drag & Drop' the Project file from the Windows Explorer on the Project Tree or on the Scripts Tree,
  • Select the Project file in the list of recent project in the File menu of the Menu bar
  • Select the 'File\Open Project…' menu item in the Menu bar and choose the project file to load.


To edit a project's properties, select the command 'File\Edit Project' in the Menu bar.

The following dialog is displayed:

It allows you to change:

  • the project name (1),
  • the project free title (3),
  • the Client name, the current project version and date (displayed in the 'About' box),
  • the Project comments.


The Libraries tab lets you include new Framework libraries in the project :

The Properties tab lets you update project properties :

The Evolutions tab lets you update project evolutions :

The UpdatePackages Tab lets you update project update packages (see Update Packages Management) :

To validate the modifications, click on the Ok button.


You can create a backup of the project using the 'File\Archive Project…' menu item in the Menu bar.

This generates a new output archive file in the archive output folder.

The archive file name has the following format:

archive_<project name>_<project version>_<date>_<time>.zip

This output file contains all files and folders of the Project Structure apart from 'archive' and 'export' folders.
